I have this issue of Car and Driver. The car that was used was the 189 hp federalized Elise with the Toyota 2ZZ engine, not the model here which is the one with the lower revving 1ZZ engine. VIR has some long straights which make it sure that the Elise with 2ZZ is going to be much quicker than a 1ZZ Elise.
