Tesla also won the overall points in comparison against German hybrids (and diesel Audi S4 TDI). Mostly it won because it scored way more in performance / dynamics. The difference of performance you get for the same price with Model 3 vs anything else is quite spectacular.

Not that Tesla is generally cheap or affordable, of course. It's just cheaper than German cars. And, of course, there are reasons for that (crappier interior, questionable quality / longevity etc). But performance is a slam dunk knockout punch.
