Call me crazy but, i feel like this actually makes the McLaren Senna's lap look even more impressive. The simple fact the Senna was on Trofeo R, a tyre that is significantly slower than the Cup 2 R, and that it was a magasine vs factory attempt makes the McLaren's lap look not so embarassing. Sure, there's no denying that the AMG One looks to be the faster car, and that a 1.38 lap is a level of "fast" we've never seen in a road car, but for a 2017 hypercar on inferior tyres and a lap that can very likely be improved thanks to a factory effort, i just have to say the Senna's lap looks just as amazing as it did before the AMG One took its crown. Makes you wonder what it could do on the New Trofeo RS tyres.
