It's solid I reckon, considering how difficult the 765LT is to control, I didn't expect it to beat the Z06 and be not to far off a GT2 RS on Cup 2 R Tyres!
What's more they said it could have gone even faster in the right mode:

In the absolute, yeah of course, 2.38 min is dimension warping quick. It's still the 5th quickest road car around here. But talking relatively, the gap between it and the 720S tells you everything you need to know. I'm confident this isn't the car's fastest pace though, so just think of me saying that THIS VERY LAP is not so impressive and not that the 765LT is unimpressive.

That would make more sense, and I agree, a 720S on Trofeo's could probably match if not beat this time, but that's just what happens when you put too much power into a RWD car with over 700 horsepower and no limited slip diff, etc etc

I don't think it's that much of a traction issue tbh. I've read a lot about the thoughts of owners who track them and I just don't see traction being a complaint so long as your Trofeo Rs are fresh, and best case scenario, pre-heated. They work in a quite limited temperature range, take time to heat up and possess poor performance when cold. I just wish McLaren took this more seriously and brought tyre warmers EVERYTIME they take one of their LT models to a track test, because yes, they don't always do it while the others do..
