This is not a Production car, it was specific modded for the track by the Nismo. So no stock. More than $200k in packages and tuned. This is why you can't trust is Lap times.

Why you guys were arguing for this lap time? GT-R NISMO is better worth for its price. Because it has a neck breaking acceralation ( 0-60 mph 2.48 sec & 1/4 Mile under 10 sec, top speed of 205 mph) and it has the fastest production car lap records around over 8 race tracks. And this car still one of the fastest cars on this planet. But it's just cost $210,000. That's impressive man!

Well, at least Nissan is finally making this as an option for the gtr Nismo which makes it a legit lap time imo. but $80k over the nismo gtr??? no thanks, i'd rather have a porsche, 2 corvette's, 2 vipers. or I could just get my dream car the viper srt10 acr and keep the extra $130k for insurance, maintenance, and gas money!

I am going to propose that this time be removed from the regular GT-R NISMO page and a new GT-R NISMO N Attack page be created that will have this time. The car that ran the Ring was not a normal GT-R NISMO. The N Attack package is a +$80K package that is added to the NISMO +$150K price tag. It looks like at the moment this will be a Japan only option. The changes for the N Attack are extensive and even mention structural changes. Here are the details:
http://www.gtrlife.com/_/nissan-new/gt-r-nismo-n-attack-jdm-pricing-details-announced-r139
I do believe that this amount of change requires a separate car model for fastestlaps. The Z07 package for the Z06 was far less of a change and warranted a new entry. This will also clear up some confusion as to why the regular GT-R NISMO laps times at other tracks are not living up to the N Attack Ring Time.

@ lafars
Back when I posted that, I was going by what was available at that time.
We're still waiting for a 991 GT2RS but I'm sure if/when it comes, it will be more than double (maybe triple) the price of the Carrera. That wouldn't bother me at all. It's the way that things are and is very common.
The low end model sales support the development of the high end models.

@BR2+
So you are saying as long as it is not named a nissan it is worth over 300k ?
You gotta let go of the hatred inside your black heart, the gtr is a beast and none of the cars you mentioned will ever come close to the gtr's time any time soon
so keep dreaming about owning a muscle car that will put you in lamp post on any given day

GT-R NISMO Super Ultra Track Über Mega Dynamo SPEC-A thru Z
Mate, That car is gonna be shown in the Detroit AutoShow in January!
but if he is gladly willing to pay double, Nissan will be happy to take his money.
Sadly that's true though, I don't like it when people get taken advantage of. Sure Making money of people stupidity can be..."Profitable" but I cant fully agree with it, Cars like the Veneno, Reventon, Veyron, NSXR GT, Trevita, M3 GTS, I think cars like that are fine to make, But there prices are ridiculous, Even more so compared to there "Standard" counterparts.
But a car like a GT-R, Isnt gonna have its customers alienated ANY time soon no matter what the cost of the next faster version would be.

But I think some are worth more then others,
The "worth" is simply what someone (or many) is willing to pay. It doesn't necessarily cost double to produce but the manufacturer will charge as much as they can without alienating potential customers.
Some will pay more for the exclusivity or just for the feeling of knowing that they got "the top of the line".
Would the average driver know the difference between a GT-R and a GT-R NISMO Super Ultra Track Über Mega Dynamo SPEC-A thru Z? Probably not but if he is gladly willing to pay double, Nissan will be happy to take his money.
