Dodge Viper ACR lap time at Virginia International Raceway Grand West Course (post 01/2014)

Aero, tires, and suspension add up to 5 seconds easily. I don't think it's strange. Dodge has also stated that aero development focused on the car in yaw. Downforce in yaw is not the same as in a straight line. Increasing your yaw downforce will greatly increase cornering speed. This car was a more serious effort than the last one, I would say. R&T's back to back test of the 08 ACR vs the SRT-10 came up with a 3 second difference over a 1:30 lap, and remember that's before the improved '10 ACR that might have pushed the gap to 3.5-4 seconds.

Lets see, Huge downforce, New suspension, New brakes, Different gearing, Lighter, Grippier tyres, More focus, Familiarity with the track, Everything has been improved to improve track times, Its not something we really have to wonder about, Hell the right breaking time and turn in angle can shave a full second off, Its no surprise.

The ACR incresed dramatictly the downforce, and the Kumho tires are far beyond stickier than the Pzero Corsa.

Like I said, how is this car suddenly 5 seconds faster than the Viper TA around Laguna seca? It's no more powerful, not much lighter. 5 seconds is more than the difference between a 12c and a P1. I'll call it a track king if it can beat out all the hypercars the same way those cars were tested.

I mean, come on dude, the car beat the 918 Spyder records!Laptimes that i thought it would take years of development to be broken by regular SuperCars

so, what car it would be? Till now, this is the fastest street legal car at the track, besides Radical or BAC maybe..
