Yeah, no question that a Porsche 911 is going to be faster on the straights, they always have been excellent on acceleration. I haven't tried one in a long time though. I haven't driven on the Tsukuba track either, so I don't know how the 911, S2000, and MR2 GT-S would compare on it.

The MR2 GT-S is nimble, but the Porsche has the power, the acceleration as well as the handling, the Toyota would give it a run for its money through the corners, but the Porsche 911 Carrera would blitz it on the straights.

It has been a few years since I last got to drive an MR2, but they do have excellent mid-engine handling. The second generation had plenty of turbo power as well, so I certainly think it is possible to run with a base 911 or an S2000 on some tracks.

Yeah right, like I'm supposed to believe that a Toyota MR2 can beat a Porsche 911 around Tsukuba, if it really does, I'd be impressed.
