Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG lap time at Tsukuba

This is prime example why/how fast paddle-shift gearbox is beneficial for lap times. Without it I don't think the Merc would have beaten the EVO and TT-S.

With it, the driver has hands on wheel all the time, able to react to slips/countersteer on the wet all the time and able to play with the engine revs much more efficiently.
