These are the tyres that I plan on purchasing for the Corvette. I think that they will give me good lap times during track days. Grassroots Motorsports magazine calls them magic tyres and gives them a AA rating for time trial pace.

They are probably within the ballpark of other "R-compound" track day tyres (Pilot Sport Cup 2 R, P Zero Corsa etc).
The fact that they are Goodyear is a bonus - OEM brand for Corvette AFAIK. Maybe they are cheaper in the US too than comparable Pirelli or Michelin, although those may have factories in North America too.
