The Gremlin XR came with a 401 and 4 speed. Only 21 were made.

I am pretty sure the ford pinto had a V8 in its hatch back format as well. The Mustang 2 Cobra was also a V8 Hatchback.

I like this little thing. It is an interesting American hatch (which is pretty unusual combination of words) with a nice looking design. And pretty fast for its class! No wonder it is a hatchback with a V8; could you name any another hatchback with a V8? Americans!
