My dad actually owned a 3200gt we were gonna test the limits but unfortunately he passed away nearly 6 months ago

Its well known by now that the 3200GT produced well over 400BHP. And done 0-60 well under 5s.
Maserati and ferrari merged just before the 3200gt went on sale and it matched and even sometimes outperformed the ferrari 360 at the time. But was 40k cheaper. They were told to down play the figures and still had to slow valve timings at the factory to stop it being better than the 360. Some are still dynoing at around 422BHP evem now
