    I believe this is the GTi-6, not the S16.
    Also this was one of the first hatchbacks with a 6 speed manual. Pretty impressive considering only cars like the BMW M3 had one around that time.

    I owned one pre facelift model, 0-60 was aorund 8.6 seconds if I recall - I think they're confusing this with a GTi-6

    my gti is standard and takes 100km/h in 7 seconds,.. and IT IS STD!.
    402 mts / 1/4 mphs in 15.80".
    231km final.

    or even 8.8s to 100km/h according to other sources..but somewhere i have found data that these 306 peugeots had reached 100km/h in 8.5s with this xu10j4rs engine before facelift, because they were lighter..not sure if that's true..even so, i think there are not many of them.
