Funny, 1 german track and R8 faster on it, 3 US tracks and american car faster on these tracks...
I think Americans too much love their cars.

Yep,there is some truth in what you say. PZero Corsas are going to be better than standard PZero tires. Actually the lap time comparison that amazes me is the Hockenheim track. German test, German drivers, only half a second difference. Given the design advantages that the R8 has it is very close between them.

It isn't as simple,
*Laguna Seca: Motortrend lap vs manufacturer lap, independent vs independent the R8 is faster in the same range as the it is faster on Hockenheimring.
*VIR: Did they drove the R8 at full? the Z06 was tested at the same time; we know C&D drove the 5.2 badly, seemingly on purpose on the 2009 lightning lap when the ZR1 was present... so, who knows.
*Streets of willow: I think is legit.
Yeah, it was pretty much that simple... oh also, the Boss uses PZero Corsas, the R8 normal PZero... if I'm not mistaken.

Interesting match up. I don't really have anything much to say about it, but I do find the comparison fascinating, and the results unexpected. Yeah, the power to weight ratio is similar, but the Audi has a better weight distribution, a (presumably) lower center of gravity, and the AWD advantage. So in short, I have trouble understanding some of the track results.
