As a long time bmw guy, I have to admit the rs5 is a serious piece of work, sure it doesn't have the same driver connection as the e46 e92 m3 but it seems to be capable of doing the same thing just with less effort, if that makes sense, and away from the track and on the road, it's a 365 day a year performance car, supercar performance and the practicality of an audi a5, makes a lot of sense

It's not fair because BMW is RED! Red BMWs are never as fast as silver and black!

Actually I outran a 1 Series M coupe recently. We were pretty darn equal up to 100 miles per hour, but my car pulled away above that. Traffic stopped the fun short of 140 mph, but I was definitely in the lead when we both had to hit the brakes. It was fairly safe fun, traffic was light, and no law enforcement in sight. It would be better in Germany though, U.S. speed limits are arbitrary.

The comparisons aren't fare because the rs5 is dog only but the m3 is manual or dct, therefore making the lap times irrelevant.

I will admit that if I moved to a place with really cold weather and lots of ice and snow, the Mustang would be useless in the winter. Fortunately I moved to California near Napa in order to study wine, so the Pirelli P Zero summer tires are fine year round. If I moved to my family homeland near the Danish/German border, I would probably seriously consider the RS5 since the AWD would be better in the winter (along with winter tires).

@Piorun I'm not a fan of oversteer all the time so for me better car is RS5. I drove both and for me RS5 is much better, more precise and more dynamic cornering. AWD in this car is doing a job.

@piorun you never drive these cars so do not write it on their driving.
Just watch and stfu...

RS5= tones of grip. And it's more expensive becouse it is much better.
