"In its day, though, the Cobra Daytona was fast enough to challenge the Ferrari 250GTO, which is to say it was blindingly quick. Our test car, for instance, equipped with short-track gearing but handicapped by a weak motor, leapt to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, to 100 mph in a scant 10.5 seconds, and ripped through the quarter in 12.7 seconds at 111 mph." Car and Driver April 1981.
