this car has 2 identical turbochargers workingin the same time or one small wich is woring at low rpm and one big wich isworking at high revs ?
anyway 215pc and 450nm is huge for a 2 liters diesel engine

5 l/100km or 47 mpg (US)
There's also a 313 ps, 3 liters diesel with 5,4l/100km or 43.5mpg(US)
Unthinkable some years ago.

It's a 165 PS n/a engine. The "efficiency" is used to reduce fuel usage and CO2.

Does it still have spark plugs? :D
Waren't the market so crazy for luxury equiplement that adds to overall vehicle weigth and silly horsepowerthat can never be used usefuly due to speed limits, today's technology would allow for very efficient cars.

@FastestLaps
Mazda just released a 2 liters petrol engine with a compression ratio of 14!

Petrol engines are equally impressive... and almost merging in to become diesels... ever higher compression, direct injection, ever improved economy... they even now have diesel's signature clattering at idle :D.
A good example is new 2.0T from Hyundai with 270 hp (!!!) And that's a mainstream engine, no mega performance model.
But since diesel enignes are still used in all commercial - serious applications (trains, buses, trucks, ships etc.) (and for a reason), I don't think we will see petrol engines completely catching up diesels in efficiency.

What separates this and R6 version is year of introduction (2010 vs 2011). At the moment, however, year of introduction is not shown in car selection menus.

It's an F10 not F01. Sorry.
BTW, this is currently the highest power/displacement diesel in the world. Who would thought just a few years ago that a 1.65 ton car with a 2 liters diesel engine can run 0 to 100 in 7 secs and can do 240 km/h?
Edit: The name should include "N47 engine" or something that because the previous F10 525d (3 liters, N57, 204 PS) also has the name of "BMW 525d (F10)".
