The Ro 80 has ensured that NSU went bankrupt. Since the Wankel engine in the beginning had many teething problems, NSU offered to exchange your old broken NSU Wankel engine for a new engine. The offer was abused many times. As an example engines which are working well also were exchanged for a new one. That has cost them so much money that they went bankrupt.
