@Chiron SS Let's see if you can find stats for this beauty. Could probably take on a few supercars of our time ;)

That will easily beat all it's racing rivals in a 1/4 mile drag race.
Maybe it will have trouble against the Pagani Zonda G

Where doest the wiki article say that you can register a G-Power as a new car? Apathy's comment is right. You can buy a Brabus as a new car, it will be registered as a Brabus not a Mercedes. In the case of G-Power you buy a BMW which will be registered as a BMW and then you can take it to G-Power which will tune it.

In Germany ofcourse

Thats odd. I'm use to seeing stats for the European V12's that have high horsepower with low torque. Thats an amazing amount of torque for a OHC V12.

Anyone got a dyno for this car/engine? I wonder if the torque is peaky or a nice flat curve like the GM engines. If they tuned down the torque I'd assume its a pretty flat curve.

@vette

High torque is a natural side-effect of a turbocharged V12 :)

The torque is restricted to 1100 Nm because the gearbox can't stand more.

why do brabus engines always have so much torque?! do they want that much or they just have to deal with it for HP?

not only they have to deal with it, they have to trim it a bit so the gearbox stays in one piece.

@BMWexpert
Show one country where you can register a G-Power as a new car.

BMWexpert  14y ago

Wrong.

Brabus, founded 1977 in Bottrop (Ruhr Area), Germany , is a high-performance aftermarket tuning company which specializes in Mercedes-Benz, Smart and Maybach vehicles.

So its a tuner aswell , and G-power is a manufacturer too.

Well yeah, actually, thats true. Stock E Coupe is to this car what an ape is to a human being.

Looks alike (sort of), but it will never be able to build Brabus.

Apathy  14y ago

The car, in many countries, is registered as a Brabus 800.

All G-powers are registered as BMW's and then modified by G-power. They do the same thing as Hennessey or Lingenfelter.

@BMWexpert
GPower is just a tuner, Brabus is a registered manufacturer.
BTW, It has 800 PS not HP! Please correct it!

BMWexpert  14y ago

Why Brabus can be here , and G-power not?Brabus is a tuner too.
Fast car tho.
