2012 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

Bugatti is going to present its answer to Hennessey at Shanghai motorshow - WRC (World Record Car) edition (not to confuse with World Rally Championship, LOL)... They want to set a top speed record with their 8 units are going to be produced... They will put off the limiter.. to achieve the mark of 254.04 mph... LOL, they claim they created the fastest road-legal roadster that can be accepted to Guinness, which basically is the same Vitesse without any changes, just without the limiter! And I was thinking VW was going to introduce this week the fastest road-legal recorder that would beat Hennessey, something grandios... Seems like not, LOL.

This car costs about 1 mil to buy, but it costs them 4 or 5 mil to make so u cant say its a get rich quick scheme.
Volkswagen owns them and many other brands such as audi and lamborghini which they get lots of money from.
When they decided to make the veyron it had to be a record breaking car, so it was given the least fuel efficent most power full production engine in the world.
The record for highest top speed was broken by some american company shortly before they revised the veyron. They gave it 200 more horsepower whicu added to a new record breaking top speed (260 i think). They wanted another record so they came out with the fasteset produftion convertible in the world giving them 3 records in total.

My choices for best looking super cars.

Old school = Lambo Countach
New school = Pagani Zonda

Obviously I like a proper outrageous looking supercar.

Everytime I look at the veyron I cant help but notice the urinal shape grill complete with a urinal mint.

My vote for best looking supercar would probably be the mk1 gt40.

the best looking supercar is, ofcourse, mclaren f1.

I thought the F50 was stunning, but the interior was awful. I always found it strange how ferrari got praise for using such a shoddy interior.

I know it was suppose to be a bare bones racer but that interior could have been made much better with very minimal weight gain.

I also think that F50 looks nice. The only "hideous" thing I can think of are vents on the hood. Saleen S7 in the other hand looks ugly to me. All modern era buggati cars are ugly.

I never find the 620 GT ugly. Found only more aggressive.

im one of the few that think the F50 is simply beautiful. I don't know what it is but I love that car. Now if you want to look at a ugly ferrari look no further than the new FF or even worse the 620 GT

Yeah, that should be Ferrari 458, not F50.
I must have been thinking about the f50 when I wrote that because I have no idea why I typed f50.

Gotta agree with you and "the old lady", I don't like the way the Veyron looks at all, although that said, anything is better looking than the F50, that is a hideous car.

There are people who still buy huge yacht.
Every other Veyron edition is just to make the new coming customers more happy. Who would by a car that is 2005-11 year model for $1M+? Exactly, but MY2012 is just perfect :). It's not like VW is making more money of it, it still 300 Veyrons total

I'm still not a fan of the Veyron's styling.
Wasn't in '05 and still not today.
Other super cars look more striking or beautiful to me.

Better question is: Who need Veyron anyway?
In 2005 it could be shocking, but now it look like a big yacht between speed boats.

It's useless because it can't actually reach a very high top speed because of its roadsterness, and really, who needs a convertible Veyron???

he means that it's basically another excuse for bugatti to make more money but it should be mentioned because it's a very fast excuse ;) btw have you seen how many "special editions" that bugatti makes that quite literally cost almost double that of the base model. :o

This car is faster than just Grand Sport, so why useless?
