In autumn 2000 the Barchetta (Italian for small boat) designed by Pininfarina was first presented to the public. The car with a 5.5 liter V12-engine with 485 hp was built in a small series of 448 units which was reserved for loyal Ferrari customers. The sales price was about 360.000 DM here in Germany.
