Never had a 5-speed or a 4-speed manual gearbox. Only ever made with a 4-speed semi-electric controlled automatic.

Yea with all the veins inside the box what oil ran through. Not great was they we put a old auto box off a older Ford might of been 3 speed or 4 long time ago but it was in but the engine was over working lol not made for this box. Took it to a Ford main dealer an he said it can't be done we said it's in outside an he was shocked but different gear ratio made it rev it's nuts off. Finally got a box after 4 different one's an got rid

My good friend used to drive one (he has driven Granada before) and sold it just few weeks ago. It's been white Scorpio 2.0i,he sold it because he had no need for such a a car,but the car has been in very good condition, hard to find any rust.
I remember it always felt sooo roomy and comfy, and it wasn't exactly slow, not fast, but ok for 2.0l engine.

They were originally called Granada's in the UK, with Scorpio being the top spec Granada, but just after this model they were all called scorpio's. It was pretty light for such a big car.
