Yet,the truth is that only Manta A looked really Manta-Ray like,it's been a beautiful car. Though Manta B also looks good. Check out ancient "Manta,Manta" movie, just saw it again the other day,that Til Schweiger guy has been a teenager at the time...

The Group B homoligation model replacing the Opel Ascona 400, it hit the Rally world as Audi started racing with the quattro AWD, all RWD cars were outclassed overnight.
The street version was build 245times the engine was delivered with 144hp (claimed most engines were stronger) but could be easy upgraded to 275hp, customers could choose the Group B wide body kit from factors or the small standart body. The car was a co development of Opel, Irmscher(suspension chassie body) and Cosworth (16V cylinder head)
