Corvette track width front/rear 62.1"/60.7" tires front 245/40R18, rear 285/35R19.
BMW M3 (E92) track width f/r 60.5"/60.5" tires front 245/40R18, rear 265/40R18.
Close comparison with a slight advantage going to the Corvette if given equal tires. I have driven both with enthusiasm, and these are excellent cars. I hope to beat the lap time at Willow Springs sometime in 2025.

Center of gravity height for both of these cars is extremely low at 17 inches. For comparison purposes, the C8 Corvette is 18.5 inches. Mechanical grip in corners can be calculated from the tires, the track width and center of gravity height. In other words, given modern tires these older cars can corner with the best new cars.

The Corvette was significantly less expensive back in the day. The window sticker on my 2007 Corvette was only $58,715. Our Corvette is loaded with options, most importantly the Z51 package. The Z51 package is essential if one has plans for track days. We need some home improvements first, but eventually I plan on taking the Corvette down to Willow Springs for a track day. It should be fun.

Of course, it is still an apples to oranges comparison.
