Slower then an XKRS, Mustang Boss 302, TT RS, RS5, M3 and so on. These are just a list of cars the 997 911 Turbo should be faster then

I am not really surprised. The Turbo and Turbo S have always been grand tourers in spite of their rear-engine layouts. The 997 Turbo is a competitor with the XKR, the E63 M6,* and the CLK63 AMG Black Series, though.

*Not to be confused with E63 AMG, or 6-speed manual (in the case of M6; although yes, US- and Canadian-spec versions DID in fact come with 6-speed manuals). BMW used E63 as an internal generation codename for the 6-series coupe during that era.
