Alpina B7 Biturbo (facelift) specs

I swear, Bmw Cannot design a rear set of tail lights for there cars if there lives depended on it, these Tail lights on the 7Series are just hideious, and have been for many many years, 5Series not AS much, but still pretty bad.

And these Alpinas.. (Cough Bmw Cough) just make the cars look worse, And this loosing of the M Tradition with Forced Induction? Cmon, I have a hard time believing cars are getting better. WHens the new 10Speed AutoMatic GearBox coming out-_-.................

Compare the data so far on fastestlap with B7, vs. S8. The Alpina costs more, but still comes without limited slip differentials, and the brakes get roasted from the extra mass. The x drive version is 4850lbs! short wheel base. Alpina does look sportier, but the S8 is the better daily driver.

Merc E63 AMG competes with Audi RS6, BMW M5s and Alpina B5s. Upcoming Audi RS7 competes with BMW M6s and Alpinas B6s. And Mercs S-seris competes with BMWs 7-series and this Alpina B7 :D

Uhhmmm... yeah, with RS6 I've got a little bit excited, but with Merc E63 AMG, it surely would be interesting :D

Headlights looks just like Audis lights.
This Alpina doesnt competes upcoming Audi RS6. Because its too heavy, ETC. Audis S8 is better competors. Audi A8 and BMW 7-series are always competors.

Here it is - facelifted Alpina B7.

The exterior doesn't much surprise and hasn't actually any difference. It also uses the same 4.4 twin-turbo engine, but now it has 540 PS and the torque growth to 730 Nm. The only innovation I can see here is 8 speed ZF gearbox. You could afford AWD version as optional.

About the performance - the acceleration to 60 is still the same, but the top speed growth to 194 mph, which is quite good for a car, which weights almost 2.2 ton.

It would be quite interesting to compare it with the upcoming Audi RS6 and Panamera Turbo S!
