126 definitely has engine located at the back, just like Porsche 911.

Now we'd think of it as a ugly, slow, unreliable etc but, in its time it saved fiat from being unknown.

I had this car in orange colour but I changed it for Punto MKII and then GrandeP. F126p had got rear engine and all curves were mine,I remember great racing in thin and curvy country roads...with only 24 PS.

Engine fits in the back because it's very compact. There are three engine choices - 600cc, 650cc and 700cc. All of them are inline twins. The same sort of engine you would find in a modest motorcycle (like Suzuki GS500) but with less power. In PhamtomPorsche's video you can clearly hear that Fiat 126 has got some major big bore V-Twin in the back.

Yes it is wierd, I you dont believe it just look at that intake in the rear side, they also have them al the way back and a pathetin spoiler sometimes.

On Nordschleife this could probably do 15:10:00 with a turbocharger. The engine's in the back? Weird.

I remember these little things, I saw them in Poland over the summer. Rear engine rear wheel drive. They have the most unpleasant engine and exhaust sound.
