The gearbox is 4 speed manual! Please change it! 5 speed appeared in 1983 in the Mustang GT!

@ Mental: That's one ugly old Mustang!, 157 horsepower from a 302 C.I. V8, 8.0 seconds 0-60 MPH, I doubt it. This '82 Mustang Gt's crappy numbers don't surprise me, in the early 80s, America was still trying to recover from the oil crisis and American cars were horribly underpowered for the sake of fuel economy. Honestly, someone would have to pay what they're asking price of the car to take it off their hands.

Damn, what an unspectacular looking car... What a poor amount of power... And this car is named "Mustang GT"... OMG...

The 4-eyed fox had a good deal of potential for the 80's and was a favorite of drag racers and entry level competitive road course racers.

Yep, I have 2 of these .
the top speed, displacement, Hp, weight and speeds are ALL wrong.

User avatar

joezee  14y ago

yeah... way off on these numbers... could barely break a hundred top speed... and 1/4 mile times should be in the 17's...

The 1982 Mustang GT had 157HP/240lbft torque, not the 228/301 claimed. Also, the 0-60 time was 8 sec not 6.4.

Here are some references.....

hahaha wow that piece of shit can do 0-62 in 6.4 sec, i'm very impressed. considering that this car was during the "dark years" for the mustang.

Well for an old car it should be a little quick considering its got a V8 and for its time was not bad. The mustang was never made to be a track car but if this only has a real suspension it would be alot lower on the list.
