My dream off-roader is a yellow 2004 Hummer H1 4-Passenger Hardtop with locking front and rear differentials and the Off-Road package.

@CoolShirtGuy
Thank you for the fast reply. :)

I'd feel invincible driving something this big and tough.

4 MPG, that's the one thing I don't like about Hummers, their insane fuel consumption, and in the U.S., Diesel is more expensive than gasoline, but if you can afford a Hummer, gas prices shouldn't bother you.

@Fangio Man
I think the H1 gets 14-16mpg highway on a good day(as in, slight downhill grade with a decent tailwind). But in the real world, many owners report MPG in the single digits, with the lowest I've seen being around 4. I think the average is around 8mpg or something like that.

If you are in a traffic jam, you do not have to wait...

You can drive over the other cars...

Anybody know the average consumption?

If they're good enough for the military, they're good enough for civilians, it may be slow and clumsy, but it's tough and dependable, and that's what matters.

Hummers are only good for the army!!!

what about koennigseg...i heard that want to buy saab..

If GM managed to sell Saab, someone must come forward to buy this brand. About 2 years ago, there was some talks that Tata is gonna buy Hummer.

Yeah, I heard about it too. But the brand has lots of publicity, it is known everywhere, I am sure something with the Hummer brand will pop up in the future.

Hummer is DEAD! The Chinese won't buy it, so GM is going to close the Hummer.

I agree. I just love it.
