This is one of the best mirage of everyday luxury road car with sports car.
Good at many things. And the price is already also nice of used models, performance, its enough on road.

I add more performance figures for the Audi S4 B8.

I\'ve just read some rumors that Audi won\'t make a new RS4. The RS5 is and will be the only middle class RS Audi.

I agree with your statement kapikog. Its very true what you say. I am even also 6'3 lol. I just found the S4 better in everyway. The key selling factor to me is the quattro system, it is something I need. I live in Canada and I need a car for everyday so this car is perfect for me. I sold my Porsche a few months ago because I could only drive it 7 months out of the year. The rest of the time it was stored away. For your comment about the S4 being a better feel than an RS4 is true. Its even quicker. The only thing I don't like too much is the sound of the exhaust and the factory wheels but that can be easily fixed with aftermarket products. My Stasis 20" wheels and tires should be coming in soon! Am very excited about that. Next on the list is ECU and air intake.

- continuation of last post - but not near the level of quality (tactile feel) as past audi/VWs. However, when driving, it felt similar to the M3, and even more stable under power while in a turn, with none of the historical plowing typical of past audi S badge cars. IMO it had an even better feel than an RS4 which I had driven at Mosport (the small track) - although it doesn't sound as good. Interestingly, imo it sounds very similar to the previous gen. M3 (i.e. in-line 6). It also has more interior/trunk space than the C or 3 cars (important for family folk). The S-tronic worked great; no clutch slip at low speeds, very fast downshifts (I noticed that with the manual S4, that this car has amazing throttle response - great for heel & toe ). It also retards timing on upshifts, which I find much more enjoyable. Lastly, in pure accel, it definitely isn't as fast as the C63/M3. It may be the AWD factor making it more stable. However, Edmund's & MW have it only ~0.3 slower for the 1/4 mi. It didn't feel that close though.

I drove 2 different C63s (one without the sales guy), 1 M3 Coupe with dual clutch tranny, and then two different B8 S4s (one manual, drive select & sport diff., and one S-tronic, std. suspension in the dry and in the wet.
These were my impressions:
C63 had a great engine note and impressive accel. Otherwise, it felt very plain. It did not feel at all like a high performance sports sedan, accept when you start it, or get on the throttle hard. Interior was quite cheap feeling (except for the seats). Felt like an 'American hot rod' sedan. The auto tranny sucked imo, with slow upshifts. LSD mandatory!!
M3 with dual clutch definitely had a more sporting feel than the C63 (i.e. better turn-in & better body control, etc). Accel felt nearly as impressive and more linear in delivery (at higher RPMs). The tranny sucked though! Lots of clutch slip at low speeds, like a really bad driver! I couldn't live with this; it would drive me nuts, never mind the expected clutch life. There were also delayed downshifts and unremarkable upshifts (fast, but no engine retardation like with VAG DSGs), and I definitely prefer column mounted paddles that you can always find, with non-racing racks (i.e. not high ratio). Sadly, you really can't hear the engine note - what a shame with such a great engine. Both the C63 (only comes with sunroof) and M3 (no sunroof), didn't have enough head room for me (6'3").
S4 had a better (i.e. more sporty) looking interior than either of the above,

I'm about to buy the S4. Took one for a test drive then had to hop back into my Subaru GT Liberty & drive home. The Audi has seriously demoralised the scoob! I thought I had a fast car till now.

I saved almost 25,000 CDN by buying a S4 B8. The price in Canada with the 7speed auto is 56,600 plus tax that includes the limited slip and silk leather seats. M3 would have been over 80,000 CDN. So its a no brainer. I test drove both cars before buying plus the C63 and to be honest the S4 just felt better. Had a nicer interior and better handling than the other two plus the performance is very close with all 3 cars. I actually raced my friends new M3 and he couldn't pass me. We went up to about 200km...I don't care much about this but I get great gas mileage too! I am adding a Stasis exhaust and ECU soon along with a air intake. The car should be around 420hp all for under 4000US. I would like to see how the other cars would do after those mods...

I think 3.0 V6 is enough, at least it doesn't sound like a four cylinder. Performance-wise, the new S4 is much better than anything that came before it. And that V6 is one of the best in the market right now. Probably the best in

****en downsizing, manufacturer shouldn't instal so small engine i S series, moreover is sexy and fast enough to beat previous edition on track.
