Wont let me add ANY Performance figures in the "Add Performance Figure" Box, So i gotta do it this way..

Hmm, I have added the Balocco time - 2:55:51 - but for some reason it shows 2:55:00. I am pretty sure I have typed it in correctly.

Anyway, although it's based on a youtube video displayed on Auto's channel, it differs slightly from what Luque says (I guess) was the time in the magazine, so you might want to delete it instead of changing it. (In the video 2:55:85 was the best time until it was outdone by the 2:55:51.)

AUTO 11/2011
0-100 Km/h 4,61s
0-400m 12,61 s
0-1000m 22,46 s
Balocco 2:55,85 than 2s slower than normal V8 due to high track temperature.
No so fast but I don' care
This is the best looking car in the world.

I sold my Carerra GT to buy one of these in this \'down economy\'. Based on these track times, I made a big mistake.

Valentino Balboni  16y ago

Hi guys, the poor top gear lap time is due to the fact that it was the stigs first practice lap. Usually, the Stig has many practice laps prior to the official time.
See ya

BumRush  16y ago

Which stat are you talking about?

User avatar

Anonymous  16y ago

Right, so it is slower than a DBS by nearly 1 second to 100 m/h? I seriously doubt complete legitity of this database.

User avatar

Anonymous  16y ago

It can do alot better than that. the 380bhp V8 vantage did the same time at the ring as the dbs, so this should do around the 1:23-1:20's. i believe that was like a practice lap or sonthing.

User avatar

supercharger  16y ago

I love this car but to be honest i would have expected it to do much better than 1.26.8 at top gear track i mean considering a DBS can do 1.23.9 i would have estimated the v12 vantage to do somewere in the late 1.22s or low 1.23s

User avatar

M Power  16y ago

Gt2 ?No. GT3? No. Turbo?Maybe =D

User avatar

whoa!  17y ago

The goodwood time is more than respectable, but what the hell happened at the top gear track. 1:26.8 is slower than the recently tested jaguar xfr. Was the track wet? Did they have clarkson driving instead of the stig? What gives?

crni09 is special...
This car seems to be fantastic but I wonder if you could change the hood with one that doesn't have any holes in it. Even so, it looks great!

User avatar

dan  17y ago

whatever beather means, i really hope your not trying to say some cheapo stripped out french hatch with scaffolding is quicker/better than this car?!

User avatar

crni09  17y ago

renaultsport megane r26r is beather of this car

User avatar

crni09  17y ago

that car is sheet like dbs.v8 vantage is beather

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

no, they shoud change it drastically. i know what massmudere was feeling when he said he was losing faith:(

User avatar

PhantomPorsche  17y ago

They should change the design a bit but nothing significant but when making a totally new model they should do more than intakes.

User avatar

MassMurderer  17y ago

im starting too loose faith in my favorite company.

User avatar

BumRush  17y ago

they all DO look the same, just a tad bit different. (sigh) i am a bit dissapointed about the V12 Vantage, i was hoping for a 600bhp RS Rocket. i guess you could say its a shrunken less expensive DBS!

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

I unserstand your greif but to be honest we could say the same for porche as they all look the same except for the GT.

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

this is bull shit. i was waiting (patiently0 fo a 600bhp vantage and they give it they same ebgine as the dbs. this is a dissapintment:( its a beautifl car but dissapointment. aston martin, change your ****ing designs already, all your cars look the goddamn same, shit. it will prolly be overpriced lke the dbs is over the standard db9, $215,000 Maybe. in a way i have sorta lost all respect for aston martn...

User avatar

GTR  17y ago

looks wise, this is going to be one of the best in the world hands down. but performance wise, it's only going to be marginally above an M6. They really should be getting more than 510 hp from a 6.0 V12 in a car of this statue.

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

This car is very nice but i seen a DB9 the other day which was a light kind of beige and it was AAAAAWWWWEEEESOME!!! I used to love beemers but now i love those ASTON MARTINS. Exotic looking sports car.

User avatar

PhantomPorsche  17y ago

A Scuderia competiter?!?!?! Aston Martin never seemed like the wieght and handling specialist so lets hope they are this time since its far behind in power to weight ratio

User avatar

427  17y ago

GT2? NO! GT3? Yes.

Scuderia? NO! 612 Scaglietti? Yes.

User avatar

Anonymous  17y ago

this is a tad disapointing really, aston sacrificed the 600hp for more comfort and everyday usability. the result is gunna be that its wont be competing against the scud or the gt2 but more like the standard 430 and gallardo
