I found some lap times for Laguna Seca from a comparison test in the May 2006 issue of Motor Trend. The driver was Neil Chirico, and judging from the lap times, he was not nearly as skilled as Randy Pobst. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage ran 1:52.2 in his hands. This car has so much more potential, and i'm going to speculate that over the next couple years we'll see Aston bring out a lighter version (1500kg range) with around 400-420hp that will nail 0-62mph (0-100kph) in the low to mid 4 second range.
That'll be wicked! :D

Astons are like Mercedes SL's or CLK's - nice looking caupes with powerful engines but sadly - weighs like buses.

Beautiful car and nice performance stats, but i still think it needs to go on a diet and lose a couple hundred kilo's.

Very good results indeed. Outperforms Ferrari 360 and 575 in Nordschelife and Hockenheim. Pretty impressive.
