A Roush Mustang isn't technically a tuner car but still not something you should compare to a completely Chevy-built Camaro or completely Dodge-built Challenger..

It's really in the same vein as an Alpina, Brabus, or Ruf...

Bought my 2009 427r used with 20.000 miles, supercharger seized up at 23.000 miles, had it rebuilt by Jon Bon Performance over $4000 to repair. Other than that it's been a great car for whatever that's worth The car has that old time muscle car feel

Honestly those numbers seem pretty pathetic for a 427. Sure, it's a 2010, but still plenty of reasons it should go faster. I'm not impressed.

I read in some sites : It has 180 mph max speed but it still unknown it's claim or estimated

@FastestLaps I see that on this car page the Roush 427R does 0-200 kph in 17.3 seconds and the GT 5.0 that is compared shows 17.5 seconds. That looks right to me, I have seen Dynojet graphs which show a slight edge going to the Roush Mustang. The GT 5.0 is quicker in the quarter mile because it has a six speed rather than the 2010 Roush five speed manual. Unfortunately, when I use the comparison function of this site the GT 5.0 still is showing a 19.7 second 0-200 kph time.

The reason it is not so fast is because it needs some tweekin. The 2010 427r for this model year doesn\'t have the gas guzzler tax as previous models. 3.55 gears to a 4.10 a little extra air and you would be suprised

It would be, if this site had 0-60mph.

The 0-60 time on this is really 4.7s.

@ Kyle
I believe it can go faster than 13.1 s with a good driver but thats the fastest number i found .

I think in some parts its not a Tuner, and C&D dont really test tuner cars.

User avatar

Kyle  16y ago

To the anonymous guy above "audi R8", don't trust the stats. It says the car can only go 13.1 in the quarter, but it will easily hit 12s with no mods.

User avatar

Kyle  16y ago

It is a tuner car. Roush is an aftermarket company specializing in Ford products, more specifically in Mustangs.

0-62 mph in 5 seconds not 0-60 !!

User avatar

Supercharged V8 can barely break 5 second 0-60 and a so-called Roush?? Whats the hype?? Another ford fly by night product.

User avatar

What's the 427 in this car? It's neither the HP, nor the displacement (427 cubicinch = 7 liters).
