Thats y the faster more reliable better sounding/looking s2000 is a beast and has perfect 50/50 weight distribution lol ..ohh i thought it was just meant to go straight hah thing is an animal screams w/ a vtec engine to 9k sounds ridiculous handles amazingly just a tad small for my 6'2 frame

You do relise that the car was made to take turns right? it may not be as fast, but with the horsepower the car pushes and the ability to take turns better than any other car, then I think, it may be able to.wtb, the rx8 series 1 pushes 238, s2000 ap1 pushs 238 HP (UK,EU), s2000 248 HP (JAP), s2000 AP2 pushes around 240 - 248 HP. Then since we have looked at the AP2, why not look at the series 2 RX8. Owners, notice a 13 HP increase from series 1. Therefore, equalling 253 HP. These are stock

I own 2005 Shinka. Nothing is more embarrassing than going on a date with a chick in ur 8 and fighting to beat a Honda civic. The car looks great handles ok and nothing else. Disappointed.

This car does not weigh 1400+ kg.
I weighted mine at 1350 kg when it was stock, full optional except for sunroof and cruise control, with about 1/2 tank of fuel and some stuff in the boot

The RX8Club.com site has dynoed dozens of RX8\'s, the fact is, stock, they only make between 170-190 HP... and about 120lb/ft of torque. It\'s a wonderful car that handles magically well, but it\'s NOT all that fast... sort of like a slightly bigger Toyota MR2. Of course there are examples of aftermarketed cars making nearly 900HP, so the potential IS there.

A great concept but flawed in execution. What make this car \"slow\" I think is its weight, which failed to meet the expectation of a sports car with such a light and compact engine. If it had at least 100kg less weight I\'m sure it will be remembered fondly as one of the greats not only one of the quirkiest.

my stock 1.8t GTI is faster than these even with shoddy tires on. but a 5 sp cobalt non turbo will beat both of us. for shame.

the other thing to consider is that an RX8 has four doors which can make it more attractive than many coupes that have similar performance and cost more.

as funny as Civic´s are faster around Tsukuba than many sportcars..

I think its quite funny that a Fiesta St is faster than the RX8 around Anglesey.

BumRush the number you posted are for a 250bhp version.... more power slightly better acceleration...

show a source for the acceleration number... the RX-8 is rated with 170kW that are 231PS or 228hp.. no matter if in Germany or the UK...

it actually has 238bhp not 231, and its 0-160kmh is 15.1,

I wonder why is the 0-169km/h time is not under 17 seconds for a car as light as golf gti and with a power of 230hp??
