no its pretty useless considering Nissan came up with the GTR Premium for the U.S. and other countries and it improved the standard GTR laptimes way more than the SpecV could and it was still almost 100k less

I think these SpecVs were totally useless,maybe not useless, but more a fail, Barely Any tests what so ever, acceleration or tracks, and not too mention its 170k Price, DOUBLE that of a GT-R, dunno for certain, but i dont think they sold very well, i dont think anything on this justifys the asking price, or the double that of the GT-R, at that Price, id rather have a GT3 RS..

@mp4-12c
Where did I write that I own a GTR Spec-V?

inline six is old technology

Yeah, BMW is well-known for using obsolote technology. And the Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra, several Mercedeses until the mid 90's were already very outdated when they introduced in to the market.
You are a POS person. Don't ruin this site because your frustration about that the last time you felt a pussy happened at the time of your birth.

inline 6, so do u service your nissan with 632Nm of torque every time you take it out of your garage? POS car, get a life mate, inline six is old technology. oh and u obviously did not knowthat nissan got their inline 6 engine blocks from bmw.

The fastest 1/4 mile for the 2012 GT-R is 11.07 as of the time I post this. With warmer temps coming up, it should do 10.9 1/4 mile under ideal conditions. I expect the 2012 GTR Spec-V to do 10.7 1/4 mile or lower under ideal conditions and lap the ring in 7:18 or less under perfect conditions.

Nissan was not claiming the new time for the facelifted Spec-V.

All indication seems to be the 7:24 was the base DBA-53

I wonder if this car is faster than the standard gt-r in this generation.

@Inline 6 rules: the 632Nm is during overboost, so yes that\'s correct but over a relatively short timespace.

Here is a source which says 632 Nm:

This is the new SpecV.
Source of the specifications:
http://www.nissan.co.jp/GT-R/ARTICLE/PDF/gt-r_SpecV_specification.pdf
That writes 612(62.5 kgfm) Nm between 3200-6000 rpm like the regular GT-R, but I\'ve read several other sources which write 632 Nm (64.5 kgfm), some of them even stating that the SpecV has 20 Nm more than the regular GT-R. We will know the correct torque figure when the first tests come.
