I honestly can't look at the M6 compared to the R8 (even the V-8) let alone most true sports cars. And unlike Aston's GT cars, it's rather ugly.

horseshit cough cough. the m6 is nice but the v10 version of the r8 which is what we are comparing takes it...not by alot but it takes it

I think he might have something there, id you look at the difference from 0-160 and then compare it to the difference from 0-200, you'll see that it got smaller by 0,5s.

I don't know the exact unrestricted speed of the M6 but even if it is 200mph, it would take a loooooooong time to catch the R8 5.2 at 197mph (roughly).

All I have seen everywhere is "numbers", here is the simple fact, although the R8 is an unbelievably fast vehicle, and yes it would pull away from the M6, a de-limited M6 in a real race would pull that R8 back at high speeds with absolutely no problem, the reason why I say this is because I own both cars, and I can assure you that even thogh the R8 looks, and is alot lot more fun, the M6 is quite a bit faster at speeds over 120MPH.
