A classic battle, 12 years later we conclude that the

Very classic comparasion.
We can see how controversial was the results that GT-R made. It really was shocking.
Now we know that GT-R is a faster car. There is no doubt about it.
But if we move from track to real road, and real road conditions. 911 shows its adventages of softer suspension, better interior. I think for a track car R35 was pure heaven. For daily use Turbo still was little more complete.

The Nissan is a disposable car. the 911 turbos will not need to be touched for 200,000miles. only regular maintenance. every Nissan will need a major rebuild every 60,000miles. the Porsches are not a stressed engine. if an owner wanted to, either car can be tuned so its times are faster and faster. putting more and more stress on the mechanicals. if someone just wants a quick 4wd pocket rocket they should buy a wrx and tune it. another disposable japanese car.

In last months EVO, the new Turbo S was STILL Slower than the first GTR they tested in 2008 with \"just\" 474 BHP. New GTR with 520 BHP on sale soon will even up the straight line balance.
Turbo S time tested by EVO was FASTER than GTR... 1:23.41 > 1:23.60 ....and the Turbo S drove the time with passenger on the co driver seat!
silly fanboy claims..

They did a comparison on the Speed Channel yesterday and the GTR won against the 997 Turbo in 3 out of the 4 test performed including beating it in straigtline by a half second.

The problem is GT-R is practicly driven by computer which is right the oposit to Porscha... So even my grandpa could set the fastest lap.
