I believe that the 19.7 second 0-200 time quoted from Autobild Sportscars is not from a V8 model. They tested a 2011 Mustang and achieved a 402.32 meter (quarter mile) time of 13.92 and this is clearly too slow to have been the 418 ps 5.0 liter V8. The Mustang they tested however could have been a V6, note the similar quarter mile times 13.9 vs 13.7 (a V6 tested by Motor Trend magazine). This proves that the Sportscars test driver is fine, but the writers failed to look under the bonnet! Easy mistake. The V6 models are nearly as fast as the previous 4.6 liter V8s.
