Quite a disappointing time but I think the car was really worn out, same story with the GTR Track Edition

..Honestly........
Anyway..its $28,445 over the Non V10 Plus, I wouldn't mind spending that much(I think), but it do think its a bit much for what you get over the V10, Does the acceleration and track times really add up to the 30k price difference? Im not so sure..
I also wouldn't mind a 600Bhp R8 GT, ut like I said I don't think Audi will be ptting that much into there cars just yet, could be wrong, with all the pressures of performance though.

"Because there is no other than 1 gen R8."
He means facelift. (Original R8 - 2006-2012; facelifted R8 - since 2012)
Well, yes, paying + 30k for + over the normal R8 V10 is too much. I think I would take the basic R8 V10 and for 30k I would tune it, so it would perform better than plus model.
Some rumors claimed the facelifted R8 GT will be boosted up to 600 PS. Anyway, who is not willing about the newer R8 GT with 600 PS. :)

I don't see the GT getting 600Bhp, there wasn't any huge power gaps between these Generations, so I don't intend a big one at all, prolly more like 580Bhp, maybe not even, dunno just a guess.
And its not a huge improvement over the last gen, but to be honest im not sure what I was expecting, And still though, 30kUsd over the non Plus seems a bit steep.

Hey guys, just so you all know, Randy does his fast laps first, then drives around and reflects on the cars.
How do people not relies this? I mean seriously?..
Anywhoo, the Plus version isn't a huge difference then the previous Generation of R8 V10s in on track performance,(not 30k difference in price I think)
And if you were to switch the tyres from the GT-R to this, I don't see much of an improvement, theres ALOT of factors when determining a cars times of improvements, The Aston, GT-R, Viper, I thought he handles a bit differently with the other cars, maybe the new setup on the GT-R actually gave it more understeer, as he was complaining about it a lot, Aston had less, but at higher pitched speeds.
But disappointment is not a word I would say in any aspect of this car.

Hey guys, just so you all know, Randy does his fast laps first, then drives around and reflects on the cars. The video footage you see of him sliding around and talking are not the same laps he did when setting the fastest time. :)
This car suffered mostly in the tire department and lack of torque for the uphill sections.

I think this R8 plus does not do wonders as EXPECTED. It is almost the same as FOUR year old normal V10 5.2

R8 GT will official remain my favourite R8, it does what it should be done not this plus thing.

I was actually suspectin it to do a 1:37.1, I cant say the word "Dissapointing" with this car, but I was expecting more then 2s off the 2009 R8 V8..
@Hamcee
I don't believe the R8 in any form is a bad car in ANYway at all, but I kinda agree that its becoming a highly sought after Status Symbol know, only problem is the Badge, Audi, I don't see too many people thinking of there status with Audis here, Ferraris/Bentleys/Lamborghini/RollsRoyce/Mercedes Maybe even Bmw more now.
The R8 does get whooped by Corvettes, 911s, GTRs for MUCH less money and What not. but I don't think that contributes to being a bad car.
But I still maintain, Ferraris are THE Ultimate Status Symbol Douchebag Poser cars you can buy, Honestly, have you ever met the "Average" Ferrari owner?..

@Hamcee
No, no, no! This laptime was done on par with GT-R Track Pack, and see it was slower than the standard GT-R. Randy was definitely in a bad shape.
Honestly, the performance of this car is not bad, especially for a naturally aspirated engine! We have already discussioned that...
