The M4 comp convertible is a great car if you are looking for something that has space for 4, can cruise very long distances and when you want it to, deliver blistering performance. The suspension tweaks mean it’s better suited to real roads and it’s torque and free reving engine mean it’s very very quick I’m real world conditions. Handling is not as good as a 911 (which I’ve also owned) but if you are looking at a car you can do miles in its great.

I have an M4 and i am scared to put my foot hard down on anything other than a warm summers day

I always thought the M4 convertible was a bit stupid. If you were looking for the ultimate driving machine, you wouldn't want the ridiculous 250kg weight penalty for the removable roof. And if performance isn't your thing, but you want a fast convertible BMW, what's wrong with the 435 convertible? But now you can get a performance version with a 4% power increase. You'd think if you cared for a 4% performance boost you'd mind having to lug around the weight of 3 extra adults in your car. But again there's plenty of people who don't care and don't know and have too much money.
Didn't someone say I'm a BMW fanboy? And a German fanboy?

I bought my m4 competition pack April 2016. My last car was a subaru type UK sti prodrive. This car is alot quicker and handles better than the Subaru which is quicker than many supercarscar also 4.6 0-60
I'm still learning to deal with the 450 brake but getting there.
It's a convertible which makes it huge fun and is quick
The competition package is not about the 4% performance increase for me it's the upgraded suspension which really helps also I prefer the 20th inch wheels
435 convertible 0-60 5.6
M4 comp pack convertible 4.1
I'm a driver ..its a fantastic car and anybody that's driven one would agree

Damn! You are so right Andy (Great name BTW) - I've had 7 BMW convertibles over the years and now won't have anything else. Best drivers 4 seat, good boot space convertible going! I nearly bought a 440i for same stupid reasons Saxy mentions but then came to my senses as a 2 x M3 owner! You get the M3/M4 because its an M car! Put one on ramp and walk underneath....its built like a race car... cos it nearly is! My 2017 M4 Comp Convertible Carbon Pack MSport edition is awesome & only a gnats cock behind the hardtop in everyday. I love it! And M4's hold their value......the 440i will depreciated so much more and never give you THAT feeling or the smile you'll get when others look at her! Mine is Yas Marina blue with Carbon bodykit what spec have you got?

I have M4 competition convertible. Why? This is fastest 4 seats convertible with hard roof. 435 is completelly different car.

Hold value better? Pretty sure you paid a hefty premium for the convertible, and down the road if you look in the 2nd hand values, the convertibles are considerably cheaper than their hardtop counterparts.
Carbon body kit, huge price tag, 4100lbs... yup, you were the person I was talking about lol.
