It is interesting that almost all rear engined cars had success in rallying: FIAT 600, Porsche 356/911, Renault Alpine.

Source for weight and laptime: http://zhurnaly.biz/6993-quattroroute-7-iyul-2014.html p. 118. May be 525 is dry weight?

Inline 6 rules  11y ago

It isn't. It's a production car, produced between 1972 and 1975. And according to 196ss it has a laptime.

Where does the weight data come from? 641 kg seems to be to heavy for the Fiat 500. The base Fiat 500 is 470 kg. I don't think it's 170 kg heavier because of a little bigger engine.
I find 525 kg.

@196ss: OK, so too slow for American interstates.

Actually it,s top speed is 62 mph, but it won't last long because engine is prone to overheat.

@196ss, the top speed is like 53 mph, too slow for American highways.

This car is one of the slowest at fastestlaps.com, which have a laptime. It was tested by Quattroroute on Vairano handling track, and laptime is 2:13,2
