I know someone who test drove his uncle's 428 Cobra Jet and when I was a teenager I was trying to inform him that it was a 428 and not a 427, and he kept on saying it was a 427.

[img][/img]@ Viking : %100 Agree with you , you are right . I believe that 1969 Fastback was one of the best ever Mustangs in style , size and performance .
I also believe that the low roof in 1969 is much more wild and sexy , as the 1965-66 fastbacks, 1967-68 fast backs , 69-79 and even 71-73 , All of these , had low roof , with overall height of 51.5 for 67-68 , 50.3 for 69 and 50.7 for 71 .if the new Mustangs have slightly lower roof , there are much more beautiful and sexy , its my opinion of course .

Car Life is the most reliable source among car magazines of the sixties. They made sure a car was completely stock before testing it. This is my favorite car from the sixties by the way. My current car has (dealer installed) rear window louvers very much like the ones on the Mach 1, but I think the 1969 is still a bit better looking. The new Mustangs have a roof that is too high, I like the lower roof of the '69 it makes it look sleeker and better proportioned to my eyes.
