Any chances we're getting actual stats for this? Or was the "Ferrari killing acceleration" just a hoax like in the Buick GNX?

Cosimo worst nightmare
This was an ferrari killer back then

Wish they would make a new one of these, I can imagine it in my head...
A tuned version of the Cadillac ATS-V’s TT V6 with 500 horsepower, the high performance brake kit from the Camaro, a 10-speed automatic transmission, keep the AWD, and put it on a widebody kit. Oh, and lowered sport suspension.

0-60 in 4.3 seconds, 1/4 mile in 13.4 seconds, according to Car & Driver in 1991.

I think the engine's displacement is 4.3 liters, 262 cubic inches.

Pics dont matter as much as a reference for the Legitimate laptime, but if its a modified pic, it will get changed soon enuff. Magazines/programmes/online tests, those are the ones most credible, if you cant believe them that the vehicle is stock, we cant believe anybody. and yes, Only stock laptimes from stock production cars are allowed.

So this website advertises stock vehicle laps around popular tracks not outright lap times?

It\'s basically used for reference or discussion of stock street legal production vehicles.

How do yo verify the cars are stock?

It\'s usually based on the source. Magazine articles from respected references, TV shows (Top Gear, for example), even online publications.

Good catch on the hood in the picture. Hopefully, someone will correct the pic.

Also the image above of the Syclone is not stock as it has a reverse cowl hood. You might want to look for stock images here:

Actually its Wads, Ward LOL and he sai to have a E92 M3! and whats wrong with a Honda?

User avatar

NIN  15y ago

Are you guys comparing stock truck to race truck?

Laptimes for racecar/racetruck won\'t be allowed. Stock vehicle laptimes are allowed.

User avatar

Adam Auerbach  15y ago

Ward. Has it also occurred to you that the truck isn\'t stock?

Here are some images of the Syclone in full race specification at the Spectre 341 Challenge.

Whoever pulled my track time off needs to put it back. I set it in my \"lardy\" truck in a sanctioned timed SCCA Time Trial event. Need more proof?

http://www.renoscca.org/results/trials/2007/2007Round04TimeTrials.html

Look towards the bottom at the practice session. 2:32. Same configuration. Officially timed via SCCA timing system with transponders.

Wards. Perhaps you are even stranger indeed since you are so myopic that you stereotype a vehicles performance limit by bench racing. You probably drive a Honda.

It certainly isnt going to hang with a evo but back in its day it did have pretty damn good handling compared with the sports cars of its time.

User avatar

Wads  15y ago

Not so. Beat the lap time of the Mitsubishi Evolution X MMR SST(which I also own). See: http://www.fastestlaps.com/track47.html

What are we supposed to see? The EVO is second fastest on that track and there is no sign of the truck having a lap time..... and if you are seriously suggesting that this lardy truck is as fast on track as an EVO X you are a strange man indeed.

Another wrong 0-100 time. Georg, I've posted in the wrong data pool. I hope it won't be too much.

User avatar

Yaspaa  15y ago

Nah, Ive read the typhoon with the same engine doing 0-62 in 5.7, this is heavier. 6.0 for this, still a quick way to shift multiple dead bodies to the morg.

User avatar

Inline 6 rules  15y ago

0-100 must be wrong! A 171 hp/ton car can't do 0-100 in 4.6 s even with AWD.

User avatar

BumRush  15y ago

That 0-100kmh is very strange for thic no?

User avatar

monkeypop  15y ago

361 ft-lb!! Damn, no wonder these little trucks kill of Ford Lightnings.

Awesome little pickup.

It's a truck. It steers like a truck. But this baby flies
