The last year they made these they introduced a 2.0L (911) with 2 more cylinders to mask the fact that they were dropping 2 cams at 11 less horsepower and 500 more pounds it was cheaper to buy than the Carrera. Nobody ever talks about any of this. When Porsche really gave up on perfecting air cooled design. From here on out it was bigger displacement, more cylinders and Turbos. There's a reason 4 cams are so priceless.

I agree, best Porsche to ever come down the Pike. Back in the day, this was very expensive.
