They speed should be correct, but it was not a production car, more a modified race car. However it is today road legal (with some smaller modifications) same as Ferrari 250LM 250GTO (which don't need any modifications) or some racetrack Ford F40 (Le Mans versions)

If I'm correct, this car is not street legal.

If that top speed stat is correct, this is the first 200mph car, not the f40.

Please change the engine displacement.

You see the modern shelby Daytona replica , not the 1964 .

Believe or not, I've seen some Daytona on the street from the small original and same like this. There's also have a turn signal on it. It can be ordered from Shelby itself or from classic recreation.

@ Super8 : I don't need to any pdf's or so , I already owned that Magazine .... and it's Car and Driver not Motor Trend , and I don't seen even one word about a Road version Daytona !!! that specification's came from a road test of a Daytona with 289 and weberized . that car was a race car as all Daytonas .
" Car and Driver April 1981 " Testing the Legend .
And about Viking's Daytona page ... I'm Agree with you but thats not a Source .

@ Bijan: Source is in comment below. You should ask Viking to delete his page too since you said there's no road legal daytona but as far as I know, Motor Trend in 1980 said the car is road legal. They test it alongside with 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 and 1965 Shelby GT350. Ask Viking for PDF data since I forgot the link but I already download it.

Racing rivals: Jaguar XJ13 Road Car, Ford GT Mk IV Road Car, Ferrari 330 P4 Road Car, Porsche 917 Road Car

In my source said, this car converted to road legal cars by previous owner. It reduce the original price thought.

This is a Race car , One-off race car .
Such as Porsche 906 or 908 , T-70 lola and etc .
This page should be deleted .

This car is new to me, too.
@ Super8: Why would Ford want to build a car to race against another one of their cars? Talk about a house divided. Awesome car, though. ;)

I have to admit:
I never heard of this "Super" upgrade.

While all 6 Cobra Daytona fitted with 289 Windsor, but Shelby ever create a Daytona using 427 FE Ford to chase 1966 Ford GT40. Strangely, it never raced. It's unknown how many they produce this monster but a rumor said one of them is labelled as Mercury 427 FE instead of Ford (This case is same like GT40). One of the replica is created in 1980 and then continued by Superformance until now.
