4 Technical data

FastestLaps you should have all the data using the same units. Here is the problem: horsepower has multiple interpretations, please read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower.

I suggest to have only kW in database and to publish something like this: 377 kW (505 HP SAE, 512 HP DIN). Or publish only kW.

Also the weight of the cars is a decisive parameter. Don't let marketing tricks fool you, use the "curb weight", not "dry-weight".

"Dry weight - Lamborghini continues to favor this utterly useless figure over true curb weight due to the marketing benefits". Please read http://news.windingroad.com/auto-news/lamborghini-lp640-murcielago-roadster-lands-in-la-and-poses-no-surprises/

agree with the above. i dont drive a road rocket. but atleast fiat test all there cars loaded. two passengers tank full of petrol plus luggage. then do there 0.60 time.like to see all manufacturers do this as standard.

Use kW (HP,PS). Forget about engine power variance, just publish manufacturer's data. Georg, 512 HP vs 505 HP will just win the race :-) Keep the good job against Z06, Porsche rules!

kW are used by most car manufactors today in Europe...
best would be kW and PS/HP/BHP autmatic calculated like at km/h and mph...
most people think HP/PS if talking about engine power...
on the other hand ..even at high power cars the different between PS/HP/BHP are pointless.. if 505 or 512... that is in tolerance range of engine producer.. I bet there are many LS7 engine in the USA who have more than 512 hp without mods...and I bett there are some with 500 or less..
No manufacor can produce 100engines all delivering exactly the same..
