Why are we even talking about this obscure race car? Why do so many people recognize it? Why it has 42k views?

Simple answer - video games. Some cars were literally "made" by video games and popular culture recognition they brought.

Later their collector's value also is driven by this recognition. Especially when millenials and genz - first generations that grew up with high fidelity racing games - have come of age and financial means to buy classic cars.

and rename to just "R390" the GT1 was the race car

The road version made 350 horsepower, not 550. Fix that please.

Who cares about a ferrari when you could have a gt1 car for the Road
( or a road car for gt1?)

0-60 mph is 3.9 sec, 1/4 mile performance is 11.8 sec @ 122 mph, and top speed is 200 mph.

The 2013 GT-R is coming in January (January 2012 that is).

It will hurt the R390 in the quarter mile (2013 GT-R: 0-60= 2.7s, 1/4 mi= 10.8), but the R390 would recover and win the standing mile.

The pic u are seeing is at the Nissan Zama Musesu or garage..lol and in my opinion, this is the Greatest Nissan or Japanese car ever made....even though they only made 2 of them lol they had someone from BM drive ths around Motegi (i think) and was actually on 1 of the shows, but they didnt take it for a fast lap because they didnt want 2 damage it in any way...(and Nissan wouldnt let the) lol

Wow....really...anybody with brains knows damn well this will annihilate the gtr and even the specv, on any course, ony thing the gtrs have on this beast is 0-60, which this is 3.3 and gtrs is 3.1, other than that this is faster than gtr in every possible way, and almost any other car in the world.

Top gear never tested a gt40, it was th GT..big difference, and they loved it, they didnt hate it, watch the reviews dude!

Why do you not go and buy one to support the bailout? The GTR is 10x the car the mustang will ever be. And the gt40 was also regarded as crap by TOP GEAR. As far as i can tell i think there are two that like mustangs in all the world.
