One of MR JWW'S finest video's ever. Breathtakingly beautiful car and scenery to boot. Unlike some "reviews" Mr 007 actually owns the manual Aston Martin DBS himself. Lock stock and barrel. Anyway V12 naturally aspirated Cosworth 6.0 litre engine DOESN'T impress you then nothing ever will.

The M6 is pretty close, in terms of performance...

There are no main competitors. The Aston Martin looks more gorgeous than anything trying to "rival" with it. Cars are more than just performance.
Yaspaa 16y ago
It's top speed is only 9kph over 300kph so that's daft, how long does it take the veyron to hit 245mph?
FadeToBlack 16y ago
I found a time for 0 - 300 KM/h : 64,1s. Totally useless and overpriced car for the engine it has. Looks good, doesn't like speed.
Don't have anything other than: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e60-m5-e61-m5-touring-discussion/125774-video-nardo-top-speed-test.html .

I agree. People never seem to relise that an Aston Martin is more about style and engineering than outright performance. They're designed to be a comfortable but quick grand tourers not a track day car.

I must say if you buy and aston martin it is like buying and B&O Speaker. You might get something with much more performance, say a 599 GTB or even a California. But it is just good looking and sexy. and alot of people prefer it to the 599, like Tiff Neidel and Clarkson.

the data are 100% correct
http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/thecars/dbs/specification
470hp DB9 topspeed is 190mph
http://www.astonmartin.com/eng/thecars/db9/specification
Aston Martin knows the best what their cars can do..
Anonymous 16y ago
Top speed is crap, the 450bhp DB9 does 192mph, so this is more likely 200mph even, give or take, and weight is 3479 (R&T).
Anonymous 16y ago
that top speed is not right, th 450bhp DB9 does 192mph/309kmh, so this id definetly faster.

i can agree that this and the CLK Black are rivals, but there no where near in price.
Rayman 17y ago
Arnold beniot and william nottage, stop whinning like little bitches and accept the fact that this is a brilliant car, wankers, go suck eachother off, dickheads
Rayman 17y ago
i think the main rival is the Merc clk 63 amg black series, both around the same money and o-60 and top speed times
Anonymous 17y ago
dude, get over it, the p2 never went into production, it was merly a highly working concept car..
FastestLaps 17y ago
Did not remove Prodrive P2. But the person who did it clearly knew what he was doing and why.
