I have 2012 135i Convertible. Sublime Joy Constantly. Gonna buy a spare engine and Trans. Incredible in Texas Hill Country. Gonna do the 3 Open Road Races here in the States as well.

Probably the best affordable car BMW made in the 2000s. It demolished any Golf, Astra, even some high tier mid-sized sedans were struggling to keep up with this. I hope people will remember this car like the Ford Focus RS Mk2.

Could someone do a new lap at the Nordschleife with the new N55 engine? Hopefully someone better than the driver holding the current time. Maybe BMW can send one of their test drivers over.

Is there a link to the 0-200 time? I have this as 19.6s

The stock 135i comes with Bridgestone RE050A RFT.

BRIDGESTONE Potenza RE050A Pole Position is RFT? You must be joking.

correct would be 156.43s (2:36.43min)
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes/112_0806_bmw_135_mitsubishi_evo_mr_comparison/photo_12.html

silly compare... the 135i was equiped with smaler tires on smaler wheels with weaker treadwear and RFT... mount the same tires as used on the Evo on the 135i and the would have won easly.

The 8:39 northloop laptime was driven by a 135i with Perfromance package and it was a full lap by a not so skilled driver.. same driver did a 8:31 with a Cayman S (295hp)in the same test a car that was already tested with 8:11 ...most likely the 135i would be 20seconds faster with a better driver at the wheel...

negative

uh, are these Nordschleife lap times correct??

User avatar

Georg  18y ago

The guy who add the slower Hockenheim shorttrack time... again and again.. the car was already tested faster so adding a slower time is pointless.

User avatar

GT2  18y ago

Why is it set to be the fastest car @ hockenheim short? someone needs to fix that.

User avatar

Georg  18y ago

the TT reached the 1:47.3min sorry..

User avatar

Georg  18y ago

look like the track conditions on that day was not perfect..they made a track compare to a Audi TT 3.2 (Mk II) which already laped the track in 1:45.4min... at this compare to the 135i it only reached 1:47.3min ..looks like the track was ~2seconds slower..unfrotunatily Autozeitung drop no words about track conditions :(
Most likely the 135i can lap the track the same 2 seconds faster as the Audi has done befor.. would put him at 350Z level

User avatar

GTR  18y ago

1.1 seconds slower than the 335i on Autozeitung... Yikes

the weight is curb weight.. EU weight is 1560kg = curb weight + 75kg driver and package
