One of my personal favorite Fifth Gear comparisons
E82 135i N55 4y ago
Best ever, I had an E82 120i, & currently a manual E82 135i N55 LCI M Sport. Stage 1+

Could someone do a new lap at the Nordschleife with the new N55 engine? Hopefully someone better than the driver holding the current time. Maybe BMW can send one of their test drivers over.

correct would be 156.43s (2:36.43min)

silly compare... the 135i was equiped with smaler tires on smaler wheels with weaker treadwear and RFT... mount the same tires as used on the Evo on the 135i and the would have won easly.

MOTORTREND on Reno-Fernley Raceway,163.93seconds (2:43.93)

The 8:39 northloop laptime was driven by a 135i with Perfromance package and it was a full lap by a not so skilled driver.. same driver did a 8:31 with a Cayman S (295hp)in the same test a car that was already tested with 8:11 ...most likely the 135i would be 20seconds faster with a better driver at the wheel...

look like the track conditions on that day was not perfect..they made a track compare to a Audi TT 3.2 (Mk II) which already laped the track in 1:45.4min... at this compare to the 135i it only reached 1:47.3min ..looks like the track was ~2seconds slower..unfrotunatily Autozeitung drop no words about track conditions :(
Most likely the 135i can lap the track the same 2 seconds faster as the Audi has done befor.. would put him at 350Z level
