MOTORTREND: The very latest on the V10 replacement engine, and it's NUTS!😲

Quote>"Yes, the Italian company is finally embracing turbochargers and hybrid technology, but in its own special way. The car will employ a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 similar to the Urus engine, but as in the Aventador replacement it'll be paired to an axial-flux "pancake" electric motor sandwiched between the engine and transmission.

Here's where it gets crazy: The turbochargers won't kick on until 7,000 rpm. Until then, the powertrain will function like a naturally aspirated V-8 with electric assist. From 7,000 rpm to the 10,000-rpm redline, the turbos will join the party for maximum top-end power. Our sources are mum on whether the car will retain mechanical all-wheel drive or employ electric motors on the front axle."

Etc.

Oh my Lord that's radically different to anything! Forza Lamborghini!

*I'd previously shared a link regards it's 10K rpm capabilities.

The 7X Design Rayo deserves more attention! This car has already hit 278MPH, and they're reaching for the 300MPH goal! It's based on a standard Huracan LP610-4 which has a Twin Turbo system by UGR that makes over 1900HP. 7X Design have totally changed the bodywork and aerodynamics of the car making it even faster than a "standard" UGR Huracan.

NOW Lamborghini is talking!

Quote>"The Urus will use a V-8, but Winkelmann remained tight-lipped about what will power the plug-in Huracán, only saying that it will have a "completely new engine." According to Car it will be a V-8, but unlike the unit found in the Urus, it will be developed by Lamborghini itself and not shared with Audi or Porsche. Car claims the V-8 will have a 10,000-rpm redline and will be able to run on synthetic fuels, with the hybrid system generating an approximate total of 850 horsepower."

ANY engine that has revolutions per minute above 9000rpm is already very special, but when you breach 10000rpm or MORE, then you are sailing sea's into which few manufacturers venture! Actual production manufacturers that is say like Porsche or Ferrari etc. Specialists like Cosworth or Ricardo are doing this or have the capacity and capabilities to do it, but not manufacturers outright!

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a38869268/lamborghini-future-details/

Forza Lamborghini! A near 900hp hybrid system with THAT engine? The new V12 will be incredibly impressive!

Now this is insane. 7XDesign has created a coachbuilt Huracan nicknamed “Rayo.” With the help of UGR they have been able to achieve speeds of 278MPH! That’s faster than the Agera RS and Chiron SS!

Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 acceleration stats! (+25% effort from 0 to 100 km/h / 62 mph)

0-60 MPH: 2.8 seconds
0-100 km/h: 2.9 seconds
0-100 MPH: 6.6 seconds
0-200 km/h: 9.2 seconds
0-150 MPH: 15.1 seconds
0-300 km/h: 26.4 seconds
0-200 MPH: 36.7 seconds
Lateral Acceleration: 1.19 G

Quarter (1/4) Mile: 10.4 seconds at 130 mph
Half (1/2) Mile: 16.5 seconds at 155 mph
Whole (1/1) Kilometer: 19.0 seconds at 163 mph
Whole (1/1) Mile: 26.9 seconds at 187 mph

Today is my last day estimating cars' performance.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mc-JJgfFrlYYFGuv3ohleC_rh7k8G3yp73DMb6UpCD8/edit?usp=sharing

0-200 km/h estimated in the form of (200/(100x1.609344))^1x6.6 and (200/(150*1.609344))^2x15.1

0-300 km/h estimated in the form of (300/(150x1.609344))^1x15.1 and (300/(200*1.609344))^1x36.7

Half mile time estimated in the form of 1320x1.6 = 2112 ft / 130 mph = 16.25 + .25 = 16.5, because 1320 / 130 = 10.15, +.25 = 10.4. 10.4/16.5 = more potential, and 10.3/16.6 = less potential.

Half mile trap speed estimated in the form of (16.5/15.1)^1x150 and (16.5/26.4)^0.5x(300/1.609344)

Kilometer time estimated in the form of 2.9+9.2+26.4/(2.9+9.2+26.4)x10.5; mile time pretty much the same way, but instead of 10.5, I multiplied by 22. Both times are calculated before each subtraction of 0.25 second.

Kilometer trap speed estimated in the form of (19.0/15.1)^0.5x150 and (19.0/26.4)^0.5x(300/1.609344)

Mile trap speed estimated in the form of (26.9/26.4)^0.2x(300/1.609344) and (26.9/36.7)^0.2x200

Well, the Lamborghini is evolving! She'll definitely break records once dialled in! There's 4 or 5 dyno runs, AMS has a hub dyno, and on one of the early runs near the top end she took off like a ****ing UFO! Oo

Finally I had a VISUAL representation of what happend at KSC last year in the second run. I had the numbers since then, but Jesus Christ that thing went like a scalded cat, you couldn't really make it out in the car! The graph however! Boom!
