The R8 is to the ZL1 as the Huracan is to the Z06. Mechanically identical, but the R8 and ZL1 are more GT-like even if not full-on GTs

If you look at just the performance, Camaro is absolute steal. But remember there are so many other things to consider, even for a sports car.
For a V10 supercar R8 is actually relatively cheap, if I dare say so.

In a straight line, the R8 will undoubtedly dominate. But when it comes to turning and corning, by the looks of it, the R8 just cant keep up with the 1LE. Thats amazing!

When looking at the Nurb lap time difference of 16 sec between the Camaro ZL1 1LE and Audi R8 V10 Plus you'd think the Audi is so slow but here are some facts for you. The Camaro was driven by Bill Wise Chevy engineer who drove the Camaro to its absolute limit on Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R semi-slicks(video attached) whereas The Audi R8 was driven by Gebhardt on Cup2's back in 2015 and i can guarantee you that he wasn't pushing the R8 to its limit so yet again the lap times are misleading. Of course the average pleb will make a judgement based on face value with no idea as to why there is such a noticeable difference and simply conclude that the Audi is rubbish :)

Laguna Seca is good representation where both cars were on similar tires. Nearly identical pace. quite impressive for the bumble bee considering it's price, which comes with 650hp and ceramics all for less than 6 figures.
And about the nurburgring, I've always believed that a factory backed all out effort on the track is about a 10-15s difference compared to a magazine test lap.

We all know by now that factory backed drivers are in a class of their own compared to Mag drivers.
